Something note worthy in the City's Annual report. And I'm not talking about the numbers.

The city of Port Coquitlam honored me last year by using the only photo I entered to the city's website in their calendar. My snowy photo landed itself as the January photo for the 2009 calendar. This was the photo.
A Walk in the Snow
Because of my earlier success, I thought I'd give it another try. I entered half a dozen other photo's from around the city.

Well yesterday was my birthday, and I received quite a treat! It was a long busy day, which meant the mail got left until the very end of the day. Inside one bulky envelope was the City of Port Coquitlam's Annual Report for 2008. My husband & daughter were in the cover photo, which was lovely to see. However the treat lay inside.

While perusing the pages my husband leaned over to me and asked, "Isn't that one of your photo's?" I immediately snatched away the report, and sure enough right there on page 4 was one of my favorite photo's of the Pitt River, with the bridge under construction in the morning mists.
Under Construction
I knew that they could possibly use them in other city publications and pamphlets, but I was awestruck to see that they indeed used not just one in the annual report, but two! This gem was also taken on the Pitt River and made it debut on page 48 of the report.

Golden Grass
I don't recall what I named them when I submitted them earlier this year. Frankly I never expected them to be published, so I didn't write it down. So the titles associated with the images above I just made up on the fly, and are open to my editing if I ever remember the correct names.
